Benfica`s offices were surveyed

The Portuguese authorities have searched Benfica`s offices as part of an investigation into the club`s management to participate in corruption schemes. The club predicted by contact with football predictions came out with a message saying they had cooperated fully with law enforcement. The search is based on information in the Portuguese media that Benfica`s lawyer, Paulo Gonzalez, was arrested on charges of obstructing the investigation. Earlier this year the Prosecutor`s Office named the name of Benfica`s President Luis Filipe Vieira in connection with a corruption scheme to provide illegal access to classified information.
