Frederic Wasser quipped about Alfa Romeo prize money in Formula 1.


The Swiss team held on to sixth place in the Constructors` Championship in a tight fight with Aston Martin, allowing them to earn around ten million dollars more in prize money and operate at the spending cap.


One of my colleagues said that two million is nothing, and now we have nothing multiplied by five.


For the team it plays a huge role. For several months we could not purchase parts. Next year we will be able to do this throughout the season. The difference is very big, - said the head of Alfa Romeo.


Vasser was hinting at Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, whose team has exceeded the 2021 spending ceiling by $2 million.
